Having said that, we know Jesus does return to Earth moving from east (Petra) to west (Jerusalem), so His comment may be a reference to that direction of movement. Christ's Coming From the East- In Revelation John saw an angel coming from the east from the rising of the sun with the seal of God. That'd be very radical concept for people who come from an Eastern honor shame background. But to an Eastern mind, how do these, "Embarrassing" Or "Brutally honest" Elements of the gospel stories, how are they seen? It contains prophecies about the last days, and it presents a history that in many ways is similar to our own. Through the prophecies of clouds and fig tree we come to understand that he must appear as man in the flesh after World War 2. A human being.
