From 1987 to 1995, Prosser toured widely with the Barcelona ensemble throughout Europe and Asia and was featured frequently as a soloist with performances of trumpet concerti by Tomasi, Haydn, and Hummel. For three years she was the principal violist and on the faculty of Eastern Music Festival, where she appeared as soloist with bassist Gary Karr and performed chamber music with violinist Franco Gulli and pianist Andre-Michel Schub. He is also a faculty member at the Eastman Community Music School and the RPO low brass mentor for the Rochester Philharmonic Youth Orchestra. The RPO relies on ticket sales and donations to bring music to our community. The most culturally advanced cities always seem to have a first-class symphony orchestra. As a baroque cellist, he studied with Jaap ter Linden as a Fulbright Scholar at the Akademie fr Alte Musik in Bremen, Germany, and has played with numerous early music groups throughout Northern Europe and North America. He also is a regular presenter on world music and jazz. Josh Newburger is the newly appointed principal violist of the Rochester Philharmonic.
